Atlanta Division Highlights
For Catamount’s Atlanta Division, 2007 marked another year of impressive growth. However, the most important measure of the company’s success, according to Atlanta Division President, Scott Reynolds, “Can be sited in two key ratios, our repeat client ratio, which remained over 90% and our employee retention ratio, which was also over 90%, both impressive statistics in the commercial construction industry.”

Highlights of the year included projects from two new clients, Noble Investment Group and General Growth, Inc. Noble awarded Catamount the “W” Hotel Buckhead project which involves transformation of the existing Crown Plaza Hotel into a modern 11-story luxury hotel featuring a complete new façade, second floor infinity pool, opulent landscaping, water walls, fire pits, a glass elevator and an impressive top floor addition for a rooftop “sky” bar. General Growth awarded Catamount the NorthPoint Mall food court renovation, which will transform their existing food court to a contemporary dining and seating facility while the mall and food court remain operational.

Several new retail projects were completed with long term clients LA Fitness, Taco Mac, CarMax and Walgreens during 2007, and we greatly value the opportunity to have built multiple facilities for these wonderful clients. Industrial clients Seefried, Sunny Wholesale and Anderson Merchandisers provided the opportunity to construct distribution/warehouse facilities for each of them. Melaver, Inc., a Savannah based developer that has pioneered numerous green building initiatives, awarded Catamount the Melaver House, which entails a complex renovation of a historic home that will be submitted for Platinum LEED certification.

Additional highlights include successfully managing multiple OSHA inspections during 2007. Catamount continues its history of many man hours worked without significant subcontractor accidents resulting in injury; a record that is superior to the national average. And, Catamount’s ongoing community service with North Fulton Community Charities enabled our generous team of volunteer employees the opportunity to provide much needed aid to a disabled senior citizen in our community. Time and materials were donated along with many man hours of labor to complete a variety of home repairs.

With 2008 underway, we believe the company is well positioned to realize a successful year. Our market diversity and strategic planning efforts provide us a strong platform from which we will continue successful and profitable operations throughout 2008 and in years to come.

Denver Division Highlights
Catamount’s Denver Division completed an impressive 55 construction projects in 2007.  Repeat clients with multiple facilities included CarMax Auto Superstores, Chase Bank, Walgreens, Tavern Hospitality Group, Forest City Enterprises, Inc., LoDo’s Bar & Grill and Premises.  Renovation and/or expansion projects included 19 for Wal-Mart and eight for Sam’s Club.  A new 94,000 square foot flagship center for Denver-based furniture giant Furniture Row was completed, making this the sixth project completed for this client in the past four years.

Additional highlights included the acquisition of some impressive new clients.  Tesco PLC, owner of the ‘Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market’ brand, is a UK-based international grocery and general merchandising retail chain.  Including the United States, its portfolio spans thirteen countries making it the third largest retailer in the world.  The Denver Division has completed six projects for Tesco in 2007 in and around the Las Vegas, Nevada area.

Regency Centers, a leading national owner, operator and developer focused on grocery-anchored, neighborhood and community retail centers, awarded an $8 million project to the Denver Division in early November.  Centerplace of Greeley consists of 94,300 square feet of core and shell and 16.6 acres of site work. This is the second project awarded to Catamount by Regency Centers in 2007, the first being Falcon Highlands Market Place in Falcon, Colorado. Regency Centers’ portfolio includes the development of 147 shopping centers totaling 51 million square feet located in top markets throughout the United States.

Additional new clients included Little Anita’s, Office Depot, Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, FirsTier Bank, Craig Realty Silverthorne, LLC, The Washington Group which included selected light industrial work on their Exxon Mobile project in Rifle, Colorado and BWAB, Inc., a diversified holding company that excels in developing land through oil and gas exploration / production, golf and hospitality resorts and traditional real estate ventures.

As proud as we are of our work ethic, we are equally proud of our on-going association with ‘Rebuilding Together Metro Denver’, a non-profit organization that works in partnership with the community to rehabilitate the houses of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled.

In April, 2007 over 50 dedicated employees from Catamount’s Denver Division as well as many of their subcontractors joined forces to perform a complete remodel on a home in the Denver metropolitan area to benefit a local disable citizen. The remodel included everything from piping and electrical to flooring and all new appliances. An exterior handicap ramp was also installed for easy access and mobility. The project took over two and a half days to complete, with employees and subcontractors donating both time and materials to make a difference in the Denver community.
