Catamount announced that the year 2012 marks 15 years of providing contracting and construction management services to owners and developers nationwide.

DENVER, Colorado – Catamount Constructors, Inc. (Catamount), a commercial general contractor with offices in Atlanta, Denver, San Antonio and Savannah, announced today that the year 2012 marks 15 years of providing contracting and construction management services to owners and developers nationwide.

Privately held and debt free, Catamount has experienced impressive growth by practicing a shared vision of providing quality work, on-time performance and superior service within a competitive and profitable price. The emphasis placed on providing a high level of service is a significant factor in Catamount’s culture and approach to providing professional services that are unique to the construction industry. This level of dedication has resulted in an 80%+ repeat client ratio for nine consecutive years, setting Catamount apart from their competitors. Adherence to fundamental principles has earned this company the distinction of being ranked in Engineering News Record’s 2011 ‘Top 400 National Contractors’.

“We established Catamount in 1997 because we love what we do and aspire to do great things with our company,” said Geoff Wormer, Chief Executive Officer. “In our short history the company has experienced significant growth, averaging $171 million construction volume for five consecutive years and generating $1 billion in sales in 15 years. To realize this volume is a proud accomplishment and we attribute this success to the talent and commitment of our employees and subcontractors and the loyalty of our valued customers,” Wormer added.

Catamount thrives on repeat business with national clients such as Chase Bank, Taco Mac, CarMax Auto Superstores, Walgreens, The Rock Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits, LA Fitness, Furniture Row and Sam’s Club. Surviving the financial crash of 2008 and continuing to flourish despite the lingering recession is also linked to the company’s ‘zero accidents’ safety record as well as their financial and bond strength.

Capitalizing on the high level of projects from both the government and multi-family markets has also provided significant growth opportunities. “Activity within the government market has been our saving grace in 2010 and 2011 and we are quickly emerging as one of the largest multi-family builders in the State of Colorado. We are currently constructing six multi-family projects within the Denver metropolitan area under both Catamount and CC Residential company brands,” Wormer concluded.

Catamount’s services include general contracting, construction management, sustainable construction, design-build, cost estimating, conceptual budgeting, scheduling and value engineering. Markets served include multi-family, retail, energy, industrial, office, sustainable, hospitality, financial, faith-based, medical and government.

Catamount will break ground on Wheat Ridge Town Center Senior Residences on October 24th. Owned by Denver-based real estate development and investment company Wazee Partners, LLC, this new affordable senior housing project...

DENVER, Colorado – Catamount Constructors, Inc. (Catamount), a privately held commercial general contractor with offices in Denver, Colorado, Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia and San Antonio, Texas, announced today it will break ground on Wheat Ridge Town Center Senior Residences on October 24th. Owned by Denver-based real estate development and investment company Wazee Partners, LLC, this new affordable senior housing project will occupy 2.25 acres within the 8-acre Town Center North Redevelopment project. Located on the corner of 44th Avenue and Upham Street, this will be Wheat Ridge’s first 9% low income housing tax credit real estate transaction in the City’s history.

Designed by Denver-based Kephart Architecture, this single 4-story stick frame senior housing facility will include 88 units totaling 89,200 square feet with brick block and stucco exterior. Town Center is a Colorado Housing Finance Authority (CHFA), low income housing tax credit funded real estate transaction. The project is scheduled to be completed in August 2012 with lease-up beginning early summer 2012.

“It’s a privilege to be associated with Wazee’s genuine enthusiasm for superior design and creating lasting communities,” said Jeff Cochran, a Catamount Principal and Denver Division President. “We’re pleased to be a member of their team and look forward to constructing a lasting facility that will be a noteworthy addition to the affordable senior housing community in Wheat Ridge,” Cochran added.

Wazee Partners, LLC, is a real estate development and investment company principally active in the development and acquisition/rehabilitation of multifamily, senior housing, retail and land properties throughout the mountain west. They are a direct buyer and developer of multifamily apartment properties located throughout the western United States. The principals and affiliates have purchased and renovated over 600 units during the past five years with extensive knowledge and experience in the acquisition of both market rate and affordable multifamily properties.

“We pursued this transaction because it was a unique opportunity to work with an urban renewal authority as part of a redevelopment plan sponsored by the City of Wheat Ridge and the Wheat Ridge Urban Renewal Authority,” said Tyler Downs, a Wazee Partners principal. “The City’s financial commitment was the impetus behind our decision to bring this project to fruition. We felt it was not only a great fit for us in terms of our senior housing expertise but a great fit for the City of Wheat Ridge as well, who’s community has not benefitted from a new affordable senior housing project in quite some time,” Downs concluded.

Recently ranked in Denver Business Journal’s ‘Top 25 Front Range General Contractors’ for the eighth consecutive year, Catamount provides contracting services to owners and developers nationwide with services that include general contracting, construction management, sustainable construction, design-build, cost estimating, conceptual budgeting, scheduling and value engineering. Markets served include multifamily, energy, retail, industrial, office, sustainable, medical, interiors/renovation, automotive and government.

Keith Rane, Director of Catamount’s Multi-Family and Hospitality Division, was one of 20 individuals honored in ENR Southeast Construction magazine’s annual “Top 20 Under 40” competition.

ATLANTA, Georgia – Catamount Constructors, Inc. (Catamount), a privately held commercial general contractor with offices in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, Denver, Colorado and San Antonio, Texas, announced today that Keith Rane, Director of Catamount’s Multi-Family and Hospitality Division, was one of 20 individuals honored in ENR Southeast Construction magazine’s annual “Top 20 Under 40” competition. This publication’s January issue highlighted 20 individuals under the age of 40 working in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina who represent the “Best-of-the-Best” in their construction and design careers.

As Director of Multi-Family and Hospitality, Rane has taken a leadership role from the day he started as a Cost Engineer and has proven himself of great value with regard to his impressive and vast knowledge of multi-family construction, preconstruction, estimating, operational oversight and sustainable construction. His rapid rise within the company is testimony to his dedication to his craft which has led to his impressive success. Rane is a LEED AP, a member of ULI and the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition and has spoken on multiple panels on the topics of multi-family, sustainable and green construction to educate others on lessons learned.

Rane was a panel participant at the 2009 Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition Conference and the 2010 Green Prints conference in Atlanta, sponsored by Atlanta-based Southface Energy Institute. In 2010, Catamount was the recipient of Southface Energy Institute’s “Multi-Family Builder of the Year” award. This annual award recognizes exemplary performance related to “EarthCraft” construction means and methods.

Along with many of his colleagues, Rane annually volunteers to assist North Fulton Community Charities, located in Roswell, Georgia, providing home rehab and reconstructive home aid to North Fulton families and individuals in need. Additionally, Rane and his daughter, Hollis, created a charity program titled ‘Hollis’ Hope’. Working with MUST Ministries in Canton, Georgia, they annually purchase charity bracelets at a bulk rate and then sell them at schools, offices, etc. for $1 each. Holiday gifts are then purchased for children in need and delivered to the ministry for distribution.

Rane will soon be responsible for managing the daily operations of Catamount’s Savannah office. This strategic location and his extensive knowledge of the Savannah metropolitan area, will allow the company to better serve its rapidly growing sustainable and affordable housing client base as well as build new growth opportunities within the coastal communities of Georgia, South Carolina and northern Florida.

“I feel extremely fortunate to be part of Catamount’s team of construction professionals and humbled by this recognition,” said Rane. “My accomplishments are a tribute to those with whom I share my life, both at work and at home,” Rane added.

DENVER, Colorado – Catamount Constructors, Inc. (Catamount), a privately held commercial general
contractor with offices in Denver, Colorado and Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, was recently awarded Tavern
Littleton, a new restaurant project owned by Denver-based developer Tavern Hospitality Group (THG). Located at 2589 W. Main Street in historical downtown Littleton, construction began on Tavern Littleton in early September with a grand opening tentatively scheduled for Spring, 2011. This is the seventh project Catamount has constructed for THG in the Denver metropolitan area.

Designed by Littleton-based M-A Architects, this 2-story brick exterior, 8,028 square foot hospitality project includes a 1,953 square foot second floor interior space and a 1,883 square foot second floor exterior rooftop patio, a component that has become THG’s signature brand. The new patio will include indoor / outdoor seating which will be accessible year round via large architecturally crafted folding doors for easy interior / exterior access. This project will feature state-of-the-art fire alarm and sprinkler systems and many of the ‘Tavern’ design elements that have made THG synonymous with Denver’s stellar reputation for nightlife entertainment. Historical elements of the existing building will be preserved for esthetic purposes.

Catamount is a privately held commercial builder with offices in Evergreen, Colorado and Atlanta and Savannah,
Georgia, providing contracting services to owners and developers nationwide. Services include general contracting, construction management, sustainable construction, design-build, cost estimating, conceptual budgeting, scheduling and value engineering. Markets served include restaurant, energy, multi-family, retail, faithbased, sustainable, industrial, medical, office, automotive and government.

“Our relationship with THG dates back to 2002 when we constructed Frank’s first tavern facility,” said Jeff Cochran, Catamount Denver Division President. “Catamount’s achievements are based on repeat business from valued clients such as THG and we feel extremely fortunate to be associated with THG’s tremendous success story,” Cochran added.

The brainchild of Frank Schultz and his mother and step-father Terry and Al Papay, THG is a Denver-based, familyowned company. The company’s growth and development is grounded in the ‘Tavern’ concept. During their quest for an upscale neighborhood bar with great food, THG owners realized there was a market for such an
establishment in the Denver metropolitan area. Dark woods, signature patios, game rooms and upscale dining
comprise THG’s Tavern brand. Having found their niche in the Denver community, THG has become a vital piece
of Denver’s hospitality personality.

DENVER, Colorado – A group of Catamount Constructors, Inc. (Catamount) employees, principals and family members, participated in the 22nd Annual Brent’s Place Kids Cure for Cancer 2010 5K Run / Walk on Sunday, July 25th at Washington Park in Denver, Colorado. Catamount, a ‘3 Star’ corporate sponsor of this year’s charity event, is a privately held commercial general contractor with offices in Evergreen, Colorado and Atlanta, Georgia. Kim Donahue, a Catamount Project Coordinator, led the employee volunteer effort as well as a drive to collect a variety of items to donate to Brent’s Place for use in their apartment homes.

Brent’s Place is the primary program of the Brent Eley Foundation, with the vision to make a difference in the lives
of children with cancer and their families one day at a time. Their mission is to help those living with cancer by
providing housing and programs through partnerships in the Denver community. As the only housing facility
approved by The Children’s Hospital for children with post-bone marrow or stem cell transplants, Brent’s Place
offers temporary safe and clean apartments for children with cancer and their families on a campus of private
apartments, all of which are fully furnished and equipped.

Katie Keating, Brent’s Place Development Associate, has managed this event for the past four years. “This annual event would not be possible without the staff participation and financial support from companies such as Catamount as well as other sponsors. The entire Brent’s Place staff and our kids in need are eternally grateful for their support,” said Keating.

“Our employees are a distinctive group of people who are always willing to show they care about our company, our clients and our community,” said Geoff Wormer, Catamount CEO. “We are extremely privileged and excited about being involved with Brent’s Place and the compassionate work they do for children with cancer,” Wormer added.

For additional information on Brent’s Place, to volunteer your time or to make a donation, please contact Katie
Keating at 720.343.2800 or visit www.brentsplace.org.
