Community Support

Catamount’s approach to community support is simple; sharing our resources to make a positive difference within the communities where we live and work. Our volunteerism program embodies our company’s values and beliefs and involves partnering and working closely with a variety of local charities on an ongoing basis.

Atlanta Division Highlights
Catamount’s ongoing partnership with North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) has been endlessly gratifying to our generous team of professionals. On Saturday, November 17, more than 20 skilled construction and carpenter employees volunteered to provide aid to disabled senior Sarah Nuckles of Roswell, Georgia. Time and materials were donated to complete a variety of home repairs including new windows and doors, replacing kitchen and bathroom floor boards, stairs and awning installation.

NFCC’s mission is to prevent homelessness in North Fulton by supporting families in their homes during short-term emergencies. By pooling the resources of local religious, business and civic groups and individuals, NFCC assists families with rent, utilities, transportation, food, clothing, medicine and other basic needs. During 2006 North Fulton Community Charities provided assistance to 4,150 local families.

“Our staff, volunteers and Board of Directors extend our gratitude to Catamount for helping us preserve dignity and hope within the North Fulton community.”
- Barbara Duffy, NFCC Executive Director

“Our mission on November 17th was to pull together for one day and really make a difference in someone’s life. Keeping Ms. Nuckles and her family dry, warm and safe was our collective objective.”
- Scott Reynolds, Atlanta Division President

Denver Division Highlights
On Saturday, April 28, over 50 dedicated employees from Catamount’s Denver Division as well as many of their subcontractors joined forces to perform a complete remodel on a home in the Denver metropolitan area to benefit a local disable citizen. The remodel included everything from piping and electrical to flooring and all new appliances. An exterior handicap ramp was also installed for easy access and mobility. The project took over two and a half days to complete, with employees and subcontractors donating both time and materials to make a difference in the Denver community.

Rebuilding Together Metro Denver (RTMD) is a non-profit organization that works in partnership with the community to rehabilitate the houses of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and independence. RTMD unites volunteers to repair and rehabilitate the homes of low-income elderly and people with disabilities in the Denver metropolitan area and provides assistance to people who own their own home but who, because of physical limitations or income, are not able to cover the costs of home repairs. Volunteers come from all walks of life, including civic organizations, small businesses, corporations, churches and other nonprofit organizations. In 2006, more than 267,000 people volunteered in 850 cities across the nation. Over 8,900 homes and nonprofit facilities were repaired at a value of $98 million.

“Your commitment to ‘Rebuilding Together Metro Denver’ makes a difference in our ability to accomplish our mission and serve more homeowners.”
- Laurie McCaw, Rebuilding Together Executive Director

“Community reinvestment is an integral part of our corporate culture. We feel fortunate to be associated with such a worthy organization like ‘Rebuilding Together Metro Denver’ and look forward to future collaborations”
- Jeff Cochran, Denver Division President
