Safety

OSHA

Catamount’s formal safety program was developed specifically for our employees and subcontractors, as their safety is of the highest priority to our business. We are proud of the fact that safety is a core component of our culture, with the full support and commitment of everyone throughout the company, to create a safe and positive work environment.

Our comprehensive curriculum incorporates several specialized training programs into the overall Catamount safety program to meet or exceed OSHA requirements. We provide continuous safety training for all operations employees and subcontractors every four weeks, weekly jobsite safety meetings, and daily / weekly safety inspections by Superintendents.  Additionally, we engage third party safety inspectors to conduct random jobsite safety inspections every month, to ensure we receive an objective assessment of our safety practices.

Catamount has a long-standing history of many man hours worked without significant subcontractor accidents and injury.  For 2011, we scored an Experience Modification Rate of 0.77, a superior rating that far exceeds the national average, a reflection of Catamount’s rigorous commitment to a safety program, training regimen and culture that puts employee safety first.
