Catamount has an immediate opening for an Estimator at our San Antonio office.

Summary
The Estimator provides and coordinates full estimating services on large, complex construction projects.  Additionally, the Estimator will provide technical and administrative direction to the Project Managers to ensure successful project performance.

Job Duties:

Estimating Accuracy – Uses updated historical data to present accurate estimates; keeps unit costs up to date and accurate; prepares bids that are accurate, clear and thorough for lump sum bids; produces clear, concise and complete scope sheets; and reviews subcontractors proposals for accuracy before submission.

Estimate Set Up – Ensures that deliverable tracking is timely and accurate, bid forms are completed, computer formulas provide accurate data, and that the bids are thorough with all requirements met.

Skills & Experience
Five to ten years estimating experience preferred. Excellent organizational, presentation, and time management skills required. Thorough knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, cost control systems and accounts is essential. Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts, plus ability to coordinate and supervise group work effort is essential. A 4 year Engineering or Construction degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience is required.
